When undertaking assessment, you will be provided with:
- An assessment timeline outlining the assessment process and milestones
- Checklists of tasks for you to complete to support the process
- Directions for providing documents such as copies of school reports.
Assessment will include:
- Completion of questionnaires by parents and relevant school staff
- A meeting with the child or young person and their parents to get to know one another and to find out more about them.
- Up to three assessment sessions (depending on the type of assessment)
- A feedback session

We provide assessment for Specific Learning Disorders, including dyslexia (difficulty reading), dysgraphia/written expression (difficulty writing) dyscalculia (difficulty with Maths) and other concerns that you may have about your child’s academic progress or development.
An educational assessment includes a cognitive assessment and academic assessment.

- Verbal Comprehension
- Visual Spatial

This assessment is used to identify learning difficulties, dyslexia, dysgraphia, giftedness and intellectual disability.
We offer joint assessment for Autism with both a Psychologist and Speech Pathologist. The assessment is completed over the course of one morning. Our comprehensive assessment includes:
- a review of background and developmental history (questionnaires completed by parents and school),
- a play-based or interactive assessment with the child or young person and both clinicians,
- a clinical interview with parents,
- a cognitive assessment,
- completion of diagnostic measures and
- a feedback session
- a comprehensive assessment report
Assessment for Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) includes:
- a review of background and developmental history, completion of questionnaires by parents, teachers and the child (depending on age),
- a clinical interview with the child or young person,
- a clinical interview with parents,
- a cognitive assessment and screener for Specific Learning Disorders,
- completion of diagnostic measures
- a feedback session
- a comprehensive assessment report
This assessment involves a cognitive assessment and an assessment of adaptive behaviours.
Assessments of adaptive behaviour alone may also be required from time to time, and may fit with NDIS requirements.
